All the art and other nonsense I made in 2025

A recap of the stuff I made when I wasn’t arguing with transphobes and racists on social media.

If you’d like a print zine of my 2025 recap just sign up to support my work on Patreon
and I’ll send you my exclusive 2025 zine (as well as my 2024 and 2023 zines!)

US EMPIRE MAP

My favourite painting of 2025 was this map of US empire (
link to larger version), charting US military and CIA/US government foreign interventions since 1900 (excluding WWI & WWII), as well as US military bases and CIA torture black sites.

You can order a limited edition print from my website shop. I’m doing them up to A1 in size which looks incredible (if I say so myself.)

The map was inspired by this 1886 map of the British Empire (right) while the information comes from various sources but an incredibly useful source was William Blum’s brilliant book Killing Hope, which I highly recommend (the much shorter The Jakarta Method by Vincent Bevins is also very good). I’ve made a work-in-progress spreadsheet listing information and links about all the interventions which you can find on my website here.

SUBVERTISING IN THE NIGER DELTA

Went subvertising for the first time in Nigeria, along with Friday Nbani of Lekeh Development Foundation and with the help of some local lads we got two billboards up on disused billboard spaces in Ogoniland.

I was in the Niger Delta twice this year to film a documentary I hope to release early next year. The below billboard was put up to mark the anniversary of the execution of the Ogoni Nine by Shell and the Abacha Regime on November 10th 1995.

APARTHEID APARTMENTS

Apartheid Apartments was an installation about Israeli apartheid that opened twice this year, first at Art Bomb in Doncaster and later at Middlesbrough Art Week.

As seems to be the case with all my larger installs, its quite difficult to capture it in photos, but I have posted everything from the project on my website so you can get a better idea.

I’m looking for other locations to bring the installation to next year, so if you have access to a suitable location (and ideally some funds to get it there) get in touch!

And here is the video that plays in the installation, a collaboration with Michelle Tylicki

CHATGPT MAGIC 8 BALL

After much research and development I have finally made an offline version of ChatGPT.

Now you can save water and electricity while carrying one of the world’s most powerfully annoying AI chatbots in your pocket.

Have every whim affirmed with up to 20 of the most popular ChatGPT responses. Smooth your brain into a frictionless hypermind capable of instant regurgitation via a corporate flattery and theft engine.

They’re 40 quid, and you can order one here. I have a limited pre-Xmas supply with more arriving the first week of January, so I’ve added an option where I’ll throw in some free stickers and a badge if you can wait for your order until after Xmas.

They also feature these new FAKE hologram stickers which I’ve been dying to make for years. I’m really happy with how they turned out. If you’d like a genuine FAKE hologram sticker by itself I’ve made a listing for them too.

TRANSPHOBIC AUTHOR WITH HIM/HER PRONOUNS

I made an alternative cover for the new JK Rowling/Robert Galbraith novel, The Toilet Constable, which has started appearing in a bad bookshop near you.

Print file can be downloaded from my website.

Here’s the text from the inside cover:

“Robert Galbraith is a woman author who publicly presents as a male author. It is grimly ironic then that, for over a decade, he/she has used his/her enormous wealth to engage in a campaign to prevent trans and gender-non-conforming people from accessing public toilets and other facilities in an attempt to make it harder for them to take part in society.

“Galbraith/Rowling, using his/her platform and wealth to fuel the demonisation of trans people, has directly led to their legal and social persecution, including a dramatic increase in transphobic violence. This has been catastrophic for trans people but this atmosphere of suspicion and hatred harms cis people too. Anti-trans rhetoric has also been a cornerstone of far-right propaganda and is promoted by authoritarian anti-LGBTQ+ leaders like Donald Trump and Vladamir Putin. Putin personally praised Rowling for her stance against trans people in 2022.

Galbraith/Rowling’s concerted and well-funded attack on both the trans community and free speech, which has extended to using lawyers to bully his/her critics into silence, is funded by sales of books like this one.”

BOYCOTT COCA-COLA

First new work of the year in support of the ongoing BDS boycott of Coca Cola products, and in recognition also of Coca-Cola’s murderous repression of union organisers in South America.

In 2017, Coca Cola donated $14000 to the extremist Israeli far-right organisation Im Tirtzu, which aims to “promote Zionism” by attacking and delegitimising Israeli left-wing and human rights groups and individuals. Coke also operates facilities in Atarot, an illegal Israeli settlement in the West Bank. Coca-Cola has been accused of having union organisers murdered in several countries. In Guatemala City, while workers at a company bottling planet fought for their jobs, including occupying the plant for 13 months, three General Secretaries of their union were murdered and five other workers killed. Four more were kidnapped and have disappeared. Torture and intimidation were also used against union members. Coke also had at least a dozen union organisers killed in Columbia.

I also made these stickers to add to the tops of Coca-Cola bottles in supermarkets. Coca-Cola is the world’s largest plastic polluting company and over half of UK plastic “recycling” is exported to be burned or dumped abroad.

The focus on “recyclability” of plastics is a marketing greenwash strategy. Most plastic is never recycled and instead breaks down over decades and centuries into irremovable micro plastic pollution that is making its way into our environment, food, bodies and bloodstreams.

APOCALYPSE MUSEUM

This year the Hell Bus returned to Glastonbury but at a different location, moving up the road to the Greenpeace field who had asked if I could produce a new installation in an old hexagonal space they had ringed by chopped tree trunks. Teaming up again with Gavin Grindon my co-curator from the Museum of Neoliberalism we put together an Apocalypse Museum in just five weeks, starting as soon as I got back from the Apartheid Apartments install.

The reaction was fantastic, with the place packed out and a host of sad/happy/angry faces on the way out. I was really happy with some of the new pieces, such as the above reverse perspective painting of a nuclear attack on a British city, and the below collaboration with Tim Hunkin from Novelty Automation, of a terminator robot painting an AI-generated image of an evaporated lake.

We also had a talks and workshop programme, which included one of the last legal talks by Francesca Nadin from Palestine Action, and an super popular workshop about using makeup to fool facial recognition cameras by our Hell Crew member & museum producer Michelle Tylicki which ended up in The Times.

The project and installation was only possible thanks to our crew, which also included Hannah Jones, Lib Lobberson, Bethan Schofield, Tess Piggot, Danny Squarelips, Chris Taylor and Kieran Thomson. And a massive thanks to everyone at Greenpeace for taking a chance on this project and helping get it over the line!

Below is one of my favourite pieces from the museum, a collaboration with Tim Hunkin of the brilliant Novelty Automation, about how AI is more likely to bring about the apocalypse through energy and water waste than killer robots.

As for what happens next with the museum, we would love to find a location to show it again, prefferably something long-term, for a few months at least. If you know of a space that could host it, please get in touch! (Likewise for the Museum of Neoliberalism!)

SHANGRI-LA GLASTONBURY

My home at Glastonbury has always been Shangri-La, since they first invited me to reprise my Pocket Money Loans installation in 2016, and they’ve been a constant source of support and inspiration in the 9 years since then. I wouldn’t have done the entire Hell project if it wasn’t for Shangers. So while I moved the Hell Bus to Greenpeace this year I still included a couple of smaller pieces in Shangri-La, the above anti-bird bird house and Bug Hotel. Massive thanks and love to everyone who makes the naughty corner of Glastonbury happen.

SLOPMAGEDDON

AI corporations are putting all their chips on railroading legislators around the world to prevent regulation of their industry long enough so they can figure out a way of making their businesses profitable, no matter what the cost to culture, society, the planet, or even to the precious economy they claim to love.

Unfortunately most politicians, like most CEOs, are easily bamboozled about new technology and the utopian claims of tech-fantasist snake oil salesmen like Sam Altman and Elon Musk.

OpenAI is not going to create a super intelligent god on earth, it’s going to basically make a new version of Google, another fucking advertising platform, and they’re going to destroy the internet and human culture in order to do so. As a proposition that doesn’t sound worth it, but if you frame it as an inevitable fourth industrial revolution that will solve every problem from cancer to global warming and provide unlimited amounts of everything you could ever want, then politicians start to lap it up.

I don’t have room here to explain all the ways that this technology is a dystopian nightmare, but one thing I learned recently made my blood run cold. ChatGPT 4.0 was trained on almost all the available data on the internet. For OpenAI to create more advanced models than this, it needs more data. So their plan is to release wearable AI devices that record everything in your vicinity at all times. A 360 degree surveillance state with everything you say or do fed into machines designed to replace you? Sounds great!

We need leaders to stop drinking the tech-bro jizz-Kool Aid and bring forward stringent regulation on the theft and abuse of creative work by these massive corporations, before we’re so drowned in slop that we can no longer do anything to stop them.

Left is a photoshop collage I made as part of the Apocalypse Museum at Glastonbury. If you’re an artist or photographer and would like to protect your work from AI scrapers and help corrupt their ‘training’ (read: theft) data I highly recommend using Gaze and Nightshade developed by Shawn Shan at Dartmouth College. Similarly there are versions for musicians called Harmony Cloak by Syed Irfan Ali Meerza and Poisonify by Benn Jordan.

Small addition to a Google AI Overview bus stop advert featuring some genuine responses that have been given by this ‘service’.

“AI” is a problem looking for a solution it can make more complicated. Nobody wants this stuff inserted into every crevice of their digital lives. LLMs have some limited use cases sure, but no “inevitable” revolutionary technology in history has required this level of foisting on the public.

If it was that useful I would use it, and big tech wouldn’t feel the need to hit us over the head with their pipe dreams about how these products could one day be useful and even profitable.

ADVERTISING ADVERTISING

Daft one I’d wanted to do for ages

IT COULD BE YOU

I’ve made my own scratch cards! Impossible to win on them obviously. You buy the card for £20, £50 or even £100, scratch it off and find out how much you lost, and get a refund for the difference. The highest ‘prize’ you can ‘win’ is the cost of the card.

Another suitable product for my online shop there. Simply packed-full of useful items that website!

Anyway, order one here why not, treat yourself, you never know!

FREE FLIGHTS FOR WAR CRIMINALS

If there’s one thing government ministers love it’s corporate gifts and freebies, (which some people rudely refer to as ‘bribes’,) so hopefully this offer of a FREE FLIGHT to the International Criminal Court at The Hague will get their attention. You can download the print file for free from my website.

STORMZY SOLD OUT

As Israel ramped up it’s genocide in Gaza, bombing civilians indiscriminately and cutting off food and water to 2.2 million people, McDonalds in Israel gave out free food to soldiers doing the killing and offered a 50% discount to anyone taking part in the massacre.

In response, the Palestinian Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) Movement called for a boycott of McDonald’s. McDonalds Malaysia responded with a $1.3 million lawsuit against the BDS campaign.

The boycott has had a “meaningful” impact on McDonald’s revenue according to their CEO.

In 2025 Mcdonald’s launched their ‘collaboration’ with Stormzy, who seems to have deleted his pro-Palestine posts as part of the deal, and by Monday every McDonald’s drive-thru in south London had these stickers on them.

I made a video about the project here.

BIG BEZOS IS WATCHING YOU

Poster I designed as part of Brandalism’s anti-Amazon Black Friday that went up over the last couple of weeks in support of the Make Amazon Pay campaign.

I designed the poster at the last minute while I was in Nigeria which is why none of it is painted. Massive thanks to Brandalism for organising the campaign and the install crews for getting them out there!

BEYOND PARODY

Painted this quick one on the day BP announced they are walking back their already water-thin commitments to renewable energy and investing billions more in getting as much oil and gas out of the ground as they can in order to set fire to your grandchildren.

These corporations only think in terms of quarterly profits when the damage they are doing will take hundreds of thousands of years for nature to undo, if ever.

They are the symptom of an economic system that knows the price of everything and the value of nothing, one that prioritises the greed of a few short-lived individuals over the abundant natural wealth of a planet that could be shared by all for as long as there was anyone here to share it.

A big part of the reason BP is doing this is its share price has dropped low enough that it may be a target for a buy-out as its share price makes the company almost worth less than it’s assets. This is something we will see more of in years to come as the oil giants eat each other in order to be, as one internal Shell document described, “the last man standing”.

These corporations know the end is nigh, whether that’s for them or the planet, is up to us to decide.

SOCIAL MURDER – NOW IN RED

We never really left, but thanks to Starmer’s Labour we’re back to the cruelty of austerity, blaming and punishing the people least responsible for the state of the country while defending the interests of those who have been looting it with glee through the last 45 years of Thatcherite cross-party consensus.

As part of this push for “growth” Starmer and Reeves have also announced their plan to slash “unnecessary regulation and red tape”, as if Grenfell never happened, allowing building developers free-reign to fire up more shoddy, unsafe death-traps that will fall to pieces in a decade or two if they don’t burn down before then.

And don’t forget the slashing of pensioner’s winter-fuel payments so that the cold weather could help reduce the nation’s pension bill yet further.

All this from a government stacked to the hilt with self-interested neoliberals who always have one-eye on the plush privatised utilities director job they’ll land once they leave office, after handing over the country to a Reform government led by Nigel Farage (who now leads in the polls for the first time).

The question has always been socialism or barbarism. But this Labour government is so allergic to any hint of socialism, it has decided that, for the rest of us, barbarism will have to suffice.

Rachel Reeves explains how to run your household budget in today’s Sun.

It feels like every chancellor and prime minister in living memory has presented some version of this completely inaccurate and misleading comparison between balancing a household budget and running a national economy, and its never met with the derision it deserves by the media. On the contrary it is presented as sound, logical and relatable, despite being demonstratably wrong.

“Any woman who understands the problems of running a home will be nearer to understanding the problems of running a country.” – Margaret Thatcher

If you have maxed out your credit card, if you put off dealing with the problem, the problem gets worse.” – David Cameron

Congratulations to Ayeshah and Hiba who won their appeal against their conviction for harassment after being targeted for political persecution by Labour junior justice minister Alex Davies-Jones MP of Pontypridd, South Wales for the crime of asking her how she voted during an election campaign.

They were charged with harassment, stalking and criminal damage, had their homes raided twice by police, banned from posting on social media in the run up to the election and summarily convicted by a judge swayed by Jones’ blatant lies on the stand, in which her own embellished description of a conversation with voters can only amount to perjury.

Jones lied in court in order to secure a prosecution for harassment, just as she lied that she was not a member of Labour Friends of Israel, and unprompted said in court that she believed “anti-zionism is antisemitism”.

I made these flyers at the time to make sure this terrible situation never happens again, and Pontypridd voters will know their role is to shut up and vote for their betters, not to ask them questions or attempt to hold them accountable for their actions.

If anyone would like to help get this message out I have some leaflets which you can order 200g at a time from my website, but you can also download the file yourself from there and do what you like with it, short link: http://toriesout.co.uk/

MPs, and their collaborators in the press, have for a long time been working on turning politicians into a special class of citizen who need to be shielded from the opinions of their constituents, have deemed it harassment to not vote for them, and who now, with this incredibly dangerous precedent, can have you thrown in jail for simply asking them a question they don’t like.

My own ‘Vote Labour, Vote Genocide’ poster (also available from my website for free download) which went up in Wes Streeting and Starmer’s constituencies was included last year in a government dossier about “extremist election abuse”. This shit is endemic and getting worse.

A FEAST FIT FOR A KING

These announcements from Buckingham Palace started appearing in parks around London announcing the delicious selection of swans to be eaten by the king.

BOG AFF

A little two-fingered addition to those BA ads which I found particularly annoying

PRIVATISATION BEYOND COMPREHENSION

I made these signs but they kind of backfired when people thought it was Thames Water trying to be funny.
